Hi and welcome to United Fitness!

My name is Natalie and I have been teaching group fitness since 2007 after making the decision to end my professional dance career to become a ‘grown-up’ with a house and children!

I am a qualified Level 3 Pilates Teacher, Exercise to Music Instructor and professionally trained Ballet / Modern / Tap and National Dance Teacher and most recently qualified in pre-natal and post-natal modern exercise. Due to my dance background and fitness qualifications I am proud to be able to offer a Pilates and movement class with a difference. PILATES with small props.

My Pilates method.

During one of my Pilates classes you will be given the opportunity to learn new and exciting movement combinations and sequences that challenge your balance, coordination and mind.

In my class I like to combine the very best and effective Pilates Mat exercises with standing functional movements ( lunges, squats, balances, tri-plane movement sequences) and work to sculpt the upper and lower body simultaneously with the use of small props ( resistance bands, bender ball, hand weights ), giving you a time effective workout so you get more bang for your buck!

MONDAYS – 4PM – 30 MINS PILATES FOR LEGS. 

TUESDAYS – 7PM – 1 HOUR MAT PILATES. 

TUESDAYS – 4PM – 30 MINS PILATES UPPER BODY WORKOUT. (HAND WEIGHTS OPTIONAL). 

WEDNESDAY – 4PM – 30 MINS PURE CORE PILATES

THURSDAYS – 10AM – 1 HOUR MAT PILATES. 

THURSDAYS – 7PM – 1 HOUR MAT PILATES & STRETCH.

FRIDAYS – 4PM – PILATES FULL BODY FLOW.

It’s not just about the exercise!
Over the years my class participants and I have enjoyed Christmas party nights out, a Summer Cocktail Party in stunning surroundings, speciality dance workshops and cake and coffee get-togethers after class.

During 2014 I hosted a Charity Fitness morning and 30 wonderful class participants attended and we successfully raised over £350 for a local church in Bolton-le-Sands. The past two Christmas’ I have taught Pilates by Candlelight classes which were enjoyed by all and everyone agreed it was a lovely way to end the year. In Spring 2015 I hosted another charity event to raise funds for Cancer Research and the Heysham Jubilee Institute and in November 2015 I again hosted a fun afternoon of fitness classes to raise money for The Friends of Riverview and the Youth Ability Project based in Kendal. I hope to continue fund raising in the future – once the birth of my second child has come and gone!
